Strung Bracelets

Our cotton thread bracelets are designed to be worn and enjoyed, but the thread is a textile material and will naturally behave differently from metal jewellery.

With regular wear, cotton thread can soften, fade, fluff, stretch or gradually wear through over time.

What to expect

How quickly the thread changes will depend on how often the bracelet is worn and what it comes into contact with.

Areas exposed to repeated friction — for example against clothing, watches, other bracelets, desks or everyday surfaces — may show signs of wear sooner.

Helping to protect the thread

Alongside our general jewellery care advice, we recommend:

– keeping the bracelet as dry as possible

– removing it before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping

– avoiding direct contact with perfume, moisturiser, sunscreen and other cosmetics

– avoiding pulling, twisting or overstretching the bracelet

– taking care when layering it with other jewellery that may rub against the thread

Cotton is absorbent, so repeated exposure to water, perspiration and products can affect the colour, texture and strength of the fibres over time.

Cleaning

Avoid soaking or scrubbing the bracelet.

If needed, gently wipe the metal components with a soft, dry cloth, taking care not to saturate or rub the cotton thread.

A note on wear

Because cotton is a natural textile fibre, gradual softening, fading, fluffing, stretching or fraying can occur through normal use.

If the thread becomes significantly worn, loose or damaged, we recommend that you stop wearing the bracelet and contact us before it breaks or any components are lost.
