‘Midnight in the Blue Forest’ is a collaboration between the paint and the artist – Heys creates a vibrant dialogue through his experimentation with texture, depth and colour, revealing an unfolding tapestry that draws upon the medium to captivate its viewer. Strong gestural strokes break apart a dark, solid background with blues and greens radiating from underneath.
