When Rob came to us to design an engagment ring for Emily, he knew that it had to be something truly special – something that was unique, thoughtful and full of meaning. More than just a symbol of commitment, the ring needed to fit seamlessly into Emily’s lifestyle. As an active runner, she needed a piece that was practical yet beautiful.

At KATA, we envisoned a low-profile wrap around design; one that would fit close to the hand and be comfortable for any occasion. Also wanting the design to hold sentimental value, we took inspiriation from an old photograph of her Emily’s Grandmother’s engagment ring, honouring it’s distinctive clover shape.

The colour palette just as intentional. Teal and green sapphires were carefully chosen to reflect their shared love of nature and the outdoors.

Unlike traditional gem settings, the focal point of the ring was how the gemstones were uniquely placed in a way that allowed them to touch, without metal seperating them creating a seamless flow of colour.

KATA Jewellery considered every detail of Emily’s ring, crafting it with meaning, blending tradition, personal history and innovation to create a truly bespoke piece.
